President Jimmy Carter has come out with words that may label him as dangerous -- calling on the US Government to give Hamas a chance as it forms a government in Palestine.
He has an excellent point when he says that we should respect the wishes of a people who went to the polls and made a choice.
After all, in the US we have to respect that our citizens elected George W. Bush, right?
(Did I just say that?)
Like President Carter, I am cautiously hopeful that Hamas will establish a government that becomes part of a peaceful region in the Middle East.
