Unaddressed
There's slavery in this week's Bible reading from Luke 7:1-10. Jesus doesn't say a word.
There's a possibility of a centurion who is humble. There's also the possibility of a centurion who is embarrassed or afraid to be seen with Jesus.
There's support in the community for one who may not have acted like it, but who represented iron-fisted rule and oppression.
And what does Jesus do? Healing, love, and restoration.
Because that's what Jesus does.
