Here's the week's second Bible reflection -- this time from Psalm 32.
Psalms are meant for singing. They’re sad, happy, hopeful, depressing, and soul-lifting. If I was going to sing Psalm 32, it would have to have a bluesy feel. Why? Because I like the blues. If you want to sing it, give it the flavor that works for you. Here’s my musical rendition of the themes in Psalm 32.
(The recorded version)
When My Sins are Forgiven, I’m Glad
(based on Psalm 32)
Words and music by Kirk Moore
When my sins are forgiven, I’m glad.
When my sins are forgiven, I’m glad.
I can’t hide all that I’ve done wrong
When my sins are forgiven, I’m glad
I tried to hide all the anger I had
I tried to hide all the anger I had
But I was straight with God, and confessed my pride
And when my sins are forgiven, I’m glad
I will trust you when things are bad
I will trust you when things are bad
You are my strength and you deliver me
When my sins are forgiven, I’m glad
(Key Change)
I will show you the way to go
I will show you the way to go
Remember my love, keep your trust in me
I will show you the way to go
Hallelujah, glory, amen
Hallelujah, glory, amen
Oh I sing your praise, I will follow your ways
Hallelujah, glory, amen
Hallelujah, glory, amen
Hallelujah, glory, amen
