More salt, please

Here's this week's Bible reflection - 

Jesus said, “You are the salt of the earth!”

So . . .

You’re the one who is bloating the earth, raising the earth’s blood pressure, putting the earth at a greater risk of stroke or cardiovascular disease, adding to cardiac enlargement risk, possibly adding to the earth’s problems with ulcers, heartburn, osteoporosis, and stomach cancer?  We need less of you in our lives!

Yes.  That is exactly what Jesus meant. (not)  There’s no way he meant that you are the ones who strengthen the earth’s flavor, preserve’s the earth’s food, seal the earth’s covenants, and even signify wisdom.  Because if that is what Jesus meant then we would definitely need more of you in our lives. 

OK – I’m going with the second part.  More salt, please.
