Driving 1000 miles from Illinois to South Georgia on Christmas Day!
We got up really early, jumped into the 2002 family minivan and headed out. Our road trip was pretty uneventful -- no nasty weather issues (though it rained or was cloudy for at least 900 of the 1000 miles!) and no car or people meltdowns! And surprisingly, we were merely one of gobs and gobs of cars on the highway today. We're staying in Valdosta, Georgia tonight. "Up and at them" tomorrow morning by 7.
We should arrive in Avon Park, FL near lunchtime.
I can almost smell the orange juice now.
