Government censureship

I believe it is time for congress to act.
It's time for congress to make a pledge
It's time for congress to censure any member -- continuing or new -- who engaged in campaign ads (of any kind) that slung mud at their opponent. (That covers pretty much everyone!)
This election was filled with distortions, unfair characterizations and mean-spirited advertising .
I'm calling on congress to take a pledge to avoid the mudslinging -- it does not become us.

(I'm also calling on state governments to do the same!)
