Today, right during the sermon in the early worship service at St. Matthew UCC in Wheaton, the lights went out.
It was a pretty dramatic moment.
The lights stayed off for about 2 hours
They were off right through the end of the first service, into Sunday School and through the entire second service.
Then the lights came back on.
I'm sure it affected different people in different ways and we'll talk about possible theories as to why things happened the way they did and when they did.
I think that the electricity failed and we still had church.
Nothing stops God from doing what God is doing.
