Shaggy and AT40

I grew up with (Zoiks!) Shaggy and Scooby and the rest of the cartoon gang. I loved the way Shaggy walked and how much he could eat.

I also grew up listening to American Top 40 to hear the wonderful (OK -- often sappy and stupid) introductions by the original (and of course, still my favorite) host, Casey Kasem.

Sometime in the middle of enjoying both I learned that Casey did the voice of Shaggy.

Two of my favorite entertainment worlds were woven into one -- after that I couldn't listen to AT40 without thinking of Scooby-doo!
