(Proverbs 19:20 NRSV) Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom for the future.
I wish that I had listened to that advice when I was younger. I think the road would have been more bearable along the way.
Of course, whose advice should one listen to? What advice is really sound instead of selfish?
I think that it is important to seek people you trust before you are looking for advice.
And it is absolutely necessary to seek advice from your peers who are affected by the decisions you make.
God's voice can come from anywhere God wants it to come from.
Seek advice -- pay attention to it -- and then you'll be better equipped to walk the road.
At least that's how I see it.
